Who has to complete 14 hours of study?
Licensed Florida Mortgage Brokers must complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years. Brokers must satisfy this biennial requirement prior to September 1 of odd numbered years (e.g. 2007, 2009 etc).
Unlicensed Loan Originators and Principal Representatives must complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years. Loan Originators must satisfy this biennial requirement prior to September 1 of even numbered years (e.g. 2008, 2010 etc).
How to complete this study course:
Download the 14 Hour CE study manual here.
Study the information contained in the manual for at least 14 hours
Fill-out the Affidavit of Completion (at the end of the manual)
Complete the 100 question True or False test using the answer sheet (also at the end of the manual). This is an open-book test. All of the answers can be found within the text of the study manual.
Return the Affidavit of Completion, your test answer sheet and a signed picture ID to Compliance Consulting Mortgage School
Upon successful completion of the test (75% correct) you will receive a certificate of completion in the mail. Students who do not pass the test the first time, may retake it as needed for an additional fee.
Cost: $54.95 (75% correct is required to receive a passing grade).
Test re-takes: students who do not pass the test can retake it as needed for an additional fee.
Note: You do NOT have to send a copy of your certificate of completion to the Office of Financial Regulation. However, you are required to maintain a copy of your certificate for 4 years.
